Episode 1

When an exhibition of ancient Egyptian relics comes to the British Museum, an anomaly opens in a mysterious monument called the Sun Cage. A creature emerges from it - a Pristichampsus, a kind of monstrous crocodile that can run on two legs.

This creature, which comes from a past much more distant than the Egypt of the Pharaohs, somehow became worshipped as a God in that civilization, and is now portrayed in the hieroglyphics on the Sun Cage. The murderous creature wreaks havoc in the museum before escaping into the city.

Helped by Sarah Page, the smart and surprisingly sexy archaeologist at the museum, Cutter and the team (Abby, Connor and their new Head of Security, Captain Becker) set off to track down the creature down before it hits the streets of London.

Along the way, Connor begins to believe in a legendary curse attached to the monument (in the style of Tutankhamen) and convinces himself he is next in line for the crocodile God’s revenge.

Episode 2

Three teenage boys break into a supposedly haunted house; but the house comes alive when a terrifying creature attacks them.

In the aftermath the only survivor is arrested for murder but is never convicted. Years later the hapless young man is free, but is still too tormented to confront what really happened.

Meanwhile Cutter’s research leads him to predict that the next anomaly will open in this same haunted house. The team track down the survivor and discover that the house is actually home to a terrifying camouflage creature from the future, a beast that can change shape and form to disguise itself until it is practically invisible.

The team also find themselves in trouble with the law when suspicious detective Danny Quinn takes an instant dislike to them and their interest in the house, culminating in Connor’s arrest. A suspense-filled battle plays out within the house and the surrounding suburb as the team tries to capture the creature – not easy when they can barely see it.

Episode 3

This episode features two different types of threat - one from the past, one from the future. Diictodons, cute but surprisingly dangerous burrowing creatures, nearly cause a disaster at a hospital when an anomaly from the Permian era opens. Calamity is averted by Cutter, Connor, Abby and Becker who, in the course of the story, are obliged to get the creatures back to their own time while simultaneously delivering a (human) baby.

Their task isn't helped by dogged journalist, Mick Harper, who is determined to catch one of the creatures and expose the ARC and its secrets to the world.

By the end of the episode Connor finds that he has adopted two adorable new pets to join Rex in his menagerie.

Meanwhile Lester, Jenny and Sarah are confronted with an attack on the ARC, led by Helen and a small army of 'Cleaner Replicas'. The rest of the team arrives in the nick of time and a battle plays out throughout the ARC. Will Helen finally win?

Episode 4

Still suffering from Cutter's loss, the team must swing into action when the biggest anomaly they have ever encountered registers on the detector.

It turns out the ARC team aren't the only ones with access to an anomaly detector -  journalist Mick Harper has stolen one of their handsets.  One step ahead of our heroes, Mick and his boss, Catherine Kincaid, lie in wait at the airecraft hanger where the anomaly has appeared, ready to record whatever comes through.

Unfortunately for them, what comes through is a truly terrifying predator.  The Giganotosaurus AKA G-Rex is huge: think of it as T-Rex's bigger, angrier cousin.

As the G-Rex  terrorises the journalists and the trapped crew of a 747, the race is on for the team to get the over-sized meat-eater back through the anomaly.  Unexpected help comes from Danny Quinn, who turns up at the scene and refuses to leave.

Episode 5

The team are faced with a highly unusual and dangerous threat from the future: a deadly flesh-eating fungus.

When a transient anomaly opens, an unfortunate assistant accidentally wanders through to a hot damp world. He breathes in some spores which he then transfers to our world.

These spores belong to an incredibly aggressive, fast-growing fungus that first invades and kills its human hosts before reanimating their bodies to seek out new hosts.

When all solutions (including fire and water) fail to destroy the creature the team must deal with the possibility that the fungus will spread through the whole country, absorbing everyone it encounters and becoming bigger and more dangerous all the time.

Episode 6

Christine Johnson and the military invade the ARC in search of a mysterious artefact they’ve been investigating.

Danny and the team make a break for freedom and take refuge in a mysterious old hut in the nearby woods.

Here they discover an abandoned experiment from the 1930s. At first they cannot work out what it was about but pretty soon an anomaly appears and it becomes clear what the previous team were studying.

The team’s situation goes from bad to worse when a flock of “Terror Birds” – Phorusrhacids – comes through the anomaly.

The team have to use all their ingenuity to keep the ostrich-like killers at bay. For once they have no technology at their disposal, and must rely on nothing more than their bare hands and whatever they can find in the hut, which has not been used since the 1930s.

Episode 7

An anomaly opens in the middle of a huge car breaker’s yard and a Dracorex comes through.

The Cretaceous era dinosaur is wounded which only makes it more dangerous as it tries to protect itself.

The team try to force it back when suddenly a medieval knight gallops through the anomaly on horseback, chasing what he thinks is a dragon.

He decides the modern world must be hell and his only chance to make it to heaven is by slaying the creature – this is his quest.

The team must deal with not only with a dinosaur on the loose but also a deranged mediaeval knight who is convinced he is a latter day St. George.

Episode 8

An anomaly opens at a race car test track and a megopteran comes through. This huge eight foot insect-like futuristic creature is carnivorous and lethal.

The team needs to draw on all their skills to capture it, get it back home and lock the anomaly. Little do they know however, that there were two creatures on the loose and one is left at the test track as the team pull out.

Meanwhile at Abby's flat her brother Jack steals her handheld detector determined to uncover the truth about Abby's job. The last thing he suspects is to come under attack by the lethal insect.

Jack takes refuge in one of the cars at the test track, a gleaming Lotus, and inadvertently drives it straight through the anomaly into the future.

With Abby is distraught the team have to go after him. Danny, Abby, Connor and Becker go through the anomaly on a mission to rescue him. What they discover on the other side is a dangerous world filled with Future Predators. The chances of finding Jack and getting back alive seem slim.

Megopteran was the creature designed by the winner of last year's 'create a creature' competition.

Episode 9

This week the team face a huge rhinoceros-like creature and have to deal with a mysterious woman from the future named Eve (who should be very familiar to players of Primeval Evolved ).

A herd of embolotherium have come through an anomaly at an off-road motor course, causing one man to have the worst stag night ever.

The team arrive but these seven tonne rhinoceros-type beasts from the Eocene do not budge easily.

To make matters worse Abby realises someone is trapped in a tent and for some reason one of the embolotherium seems intent of trampling it.

Abby and Sarah try to rescue the trapped civilian whilst Connor tries to lure these lumbering creatures back into the anomaly through which they came without causing a stampede or being crushed in the process.

Danny finally arrives, with the enigmatic Eve in tow, but is he too late to stop a stampede?

Episode 10

The team split up to face two threats. Danny, Abby and Connor travel back to the future determined to stop Helen before she can hurt anyone else.

Meanwhile Sarah and Becker must head to Christine Johnson’s headquarters where an anomaly has re-opened.

In the future, Danny, Abby and Connor find Helen, but she manages to escape through an anomaly. Connor works out a way to follow her and they endure a harrowing journey back through time via several anomalies, encountering future predators, raptors and pterasaurs along the way.

At Johnson’s office, Sarah and Becker come under attack by three vicious megopterans. At first they try to fight these dangerous insects, but when Becker loses his weapon in the battle, they have no choice but to run.

During Danny, Abby and Connor's prehistoric travels one of them comes face to face with the earliest humans, hominids, in an encounter that will change their life forever.
